What better way to indulge in comfort foods than swap them for healthier alternatives? French fries are a guilty pleasure of many, but the fat content can add up rapidly and overindulgence can happen in the blink of an eye. I opt for the similar salty crunch with a healthier option such as sweet potato fries or green bean “fries.” The simple swap can save you from empty, fat filled calories.

 

Green Bean Fries

4 Cups of Green Beans

¼ Cup Parmesean Cheese

¼ tsp Garlic Powder

Salt and Pepper to taste

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

–          Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees

–          Spray or line a non-stick baking sheet

–          Clean and cut ends off green beans

–          Spread green beans out on sheet evenly and sprinkle with cheese

–          Bake for 10-15 minutes

–          Enjoy with your favorite low-calorie dipping sauce!
